Aim of the webinar
With increasing incident of Cancer and the increasing age of the population, the cancer treatment pathways need to consider co-morbidities and quality of life for patients. For a robust workforce to exist we need good training programmes in place that provide a fit for purpose workforce with the correct tools to enable good quality of care for patients. It is becoming common practice to have specialist cancer surgeons delivering specialised care for cancer patients and these do not always have the right resources available. Similarly, we have specialist centres or need for cancer care and not sufficiently trained workforce in place for delivery of care. This webinar will look at Training in surgical oncology across different countries and if there is uniformity and what can be learnt from our colleagues.
