EBSQ Examinations

The European Board of Surgery Qualification (EBSQ) examinations in Surgical Oncology and in Breast Surgery are organized by the Union of European Medical Specialists (UEMS), European Board of Surgery, in cooperation with ESSO.

Aim of the examination

The examinations aim at certifying the level of up-to-date knowledge, skills, and general competency necessary for the optimal treatment of cancer patients. Candidates who successfully pass the examination are awarded the title of 'Fellow of the European Board of Surgery' (FEBS). 

Both examinations are based on the core curricula developed by UEMS Breast Surgery Division.
