ESSO Research Academy
The Research Academy aims to promote surgical oncology research within ESSO by providing a research skills oriented educational portfolio, and by fostering collaboration among all ESSO members. It supports projects that increase knowledge in cancer care in Europe and beyond, emphasising quality, equity, inclusivity, and patients’ perspectives.

Study endorsement
Request Research Academy Support
The project’s principal investigator can request the Research Academy’s support, endorsement, and dissemination through Y-ESSO National Representatives and the ESSO newsletter after a member of the Advisory Board reviews and approves the protocol. This step ensures the protocol is ethical, approved by an Institutional IRB, methodologically sound, and aligned with the Research Academy’s aims and scope. No revisions will be requested if the project meets these criteria.
