Educational Grants
Only available for ESSO members
The European Society of Surgical Oncology offers two educational grants of 2.000€ to ESSO members who have joined or plan to join BRESO Training Programme.
The aim of these grants is to help participants to complete the clinical training requirement included in the programme.
The educational grants will be transferred to candidates in two parts: 50% once they have started the clinical training, 50% once they have finished the full certification.
Eligibility criteria
- The clinical training requirement must take place in a BRESO certified Unit for training. The Unit must be certified by the starting date of the fellowship.
- Candidates whose application to join BRESO has been approved by the School Board but who have not yet started the programme.
- Current BRESO participants who have started but not yet completed the clinical training requirement
- Candidates who have not join the BRESO Training Programme yet but who are planning to join it.
- Candidates should be members of ESSO at the time they submit their application
- The training should start within one year following notification of the grant
- Previous recipients of an ESSO Educational grant are not eligible
Documents to be provided (in a single pdf document and only in English)
- If the candidate has already been accepted by the School, proof of acceptance from the institution where the clinical rotation is (or will be) carried out (including dates)
- If the candidate has not joined the School Training Programme yet, letter of motivation, letter of recommendation of the head of department, short CV (maximum 2 pages)
Additional requirements for selected candidates at the end of the programme
At the end of the BRESO Training Programme, candidates are asked to produce a complete report on their fellowship including pictures that may be used in ESSO Newsletter, website and social media.
